GAO- What's up Lex the Impaler, how are you doing man? What's going on with you?
LEXX- Well, you know my company Mercenary Pictures.
We keep turning out the good, hot shit. The latest release is SUPER WHORES 2.
Before that we had Lexx Steele XXX, Black Rain 2, and MAN HAMMER 1. So we
have a couple of titles people are familiar with. We also have more "Lexx in the
City" on Playboy TV. There's also an adult novelty, a dildo/vibrator coming out.
GAO- Alright, cool, now I want to ask you about the industry and the controversy
with the brother and HIV. Darren James is another black man in the industry.
How do you feel? Do you think the industry will change?
LEXX- Well, no I don't think it will change. In regards to that situation, Darren is a
good friend of mine. He's a good brother and its unfortunate it happened. But, the
type of scenes they were doing in the country of Brazil are high risk.
It's a very high risk environment to do scenes with no condoms. But, I think the
industry failed to identify Darren as a victim. They only identified the three
white girls as victims. Darren didn't originally have it. He was a victim himself. No
one deserves what happened. I think that because it is a black man, there's
a certain amount of "HANG EM HIGH" we see here. It's personal to me, because
it could have been myself or any other brother in the business right now.
So, I think its an unfair situation where Darren has been made the culprit.
He's a victim that needs as much attention and care as the girls in this
terrible situation.
GAO- I agree with you, I think it was unfair the way he was the face used
television. Do you think the industry will start using condoms in scenes?
LEXX- Well, no regardless of the condom issue. I don't think the industry
will go condoms only. There may be certain performers that choose to
go condom only. But I don't think there will be an industry wide condom
protocol. It will be very hard for the companies to do and it will cost them. They
will lose to the companies that continue to shoot "bareback".
GAO- Do you think it was a conspiracy, because you were at the top-
LEXX- I still am.
GAO- Yes, you still are. You crossed over and opened up doors
for a lot of people. Do you think this will take you down a notch?
LEXX- No, No. I don't think it will impact the industry. Unfortunately,
there will be individuals that will suffer a very hard future. But the
industry does not stop rolling. I don't think the industry nor myself will
see a big decline in revenues.
GAO- So, you're gonna keep it going?
LEXX- Well, Yeah.
GAO- I mean that in a good way.
LEXX- The industry is still a business that can weather a storm. Even on
911 there were companies that continued to shoot. There are people that
shoot on X-mas Eve, New Years Eve and New Years Day. So its a ball
that keeps rolling and I try to stay in front of it.
GAO- Hey man, thanks for doing this interview.
LEXX- No doubt. Keep your eyes out for Mercenary Pictures. This year
we release MAN HAMMER 2, Super Whores 2, Black Rain 3 and the newest
title POLE POSITION LEXX P.O.V. Pole Position plays on the phrase, but
I wanted to give it a different twist. Pole being my dick, and the Position
putting the viewer in the passenger seat. It will be the only Interracial
P.O.V. line.
GAO- What does P.O.V. stand for?
LEXX- P.O.V. means point of view. So its an intimate situation with me
and the girl, where I hold the camera. It's somewhat difficult to hold
the camera while executing. It was my first effort and I think we did a
pretty good job. It should do good this year.
GAO-Who comes up with these names and titles?
LEXX- I always come up with my own titles. I usually know what
I want to achieve in a particular movie. Then I come up with the
title. I come up with the formula and then the title. Most people notice
they fall inline with my company which is Mercenary. Its a thing where
we deliver aggressive titles and then deliver aggressive hardcore shit.
GAO- Well, keep knocking them out. I mean that literally.
LEXX- HA HA, No pun intended right?
GAO- RIGHT!!!
